Amber Breaker (PC): The Horrific Finale of the Jewel Star Hentai Trilogy (Detailed Review) (NSFW)

TW: Grotesque rape and sexual imagery. Yes, this game is disturbing enough that I need to use red font. Reader discretion is strongly advised! Images are blurred but I’m unsure if that’s enough.

The fact that I found Ruby Striker enjoyable does somewhat surprise me given that it is pretty much has no plot other than a girl being viciously raped. Aren’t I a feminist or something? We’re kinda not supposed to like that shit. Additionally, it is not like there is any deeper meanings such as in Euphoria, so what is it that made Ruby Striker, and to a lesser extent Lapis Gunner, so enjoyable?

Well, the best way to illustrate why would be through this overdue review of the third game in the trilogy; Amber Breaker. I am not quite sure how to feel about Amber Breaker. The disclaimer at the start probably already gives away what my feelings are. This is not the first time I have covered a game with notably disturbing content. Ruby Striker was about a girl being raped, tortured, and degraded by a demonic tentacle demon in a hellish landscape, and I enjoyed this… let that sink in.

Meltys Quest (PC): Shameless, Trashy, and Oddly Compelling (Detailed Review) (NSFW)

CW: Mentions of and references to strong sexual content, rape, incest, pedophilia, homophobia, biphobia, and domestic abuse. Images are blurred but still sexual in nature.

Meltys Quest is a bit of an oddity to me. I can normally just place a game in the “good” or “bad” category and be done with it. I did enjoy Meltys Quest overall, but there were also a lot of issues that I had with it, and those issues are ones that prevent me from giving it a blanket recommendation across the board. One of the key reasons that I choose to do away with review scores is because some factors may be more or less important for some people than others. A review is merely one interpretation of the game in question, and one’s own interpretations will be based very heavily on their own backgrounds.

My own background as a feminist is one that makes me a lot more critical of certain aspects of this game than most of its target audience will care about. While I am far from sex negative, I do tend to hold a lot of disdain for porn, or at the very least mainstream pornography. I don’t believe that it is doing direct harm or needs to be banned like the stereotypical angry triggered feminazi stereotype does, but rather I think that most porn… kinda sucks, and I don’t mean in the sexy way (although it does that to). If anything, I actually have far more respect for the eroge genre than most do because I don’t think that being an eroge justifies shitty writing or immaturity. Yes, the intent of the game is kept in mind, but such a thing is just common sense when reviewing.

Starless: Nymphomaniac’s Paradise (PC): Where the Stars Don’t Shine (Detailed Review) (Extremely NSFW)

Trigger Warning: Starless… no more is needed…okay fine, rape, incest, bestiality, scat, genital mutilation, murder, starvation, confinement, kidnapping, sexual slavery, and all around unpleasant sexual imagery. The game itself is far to grotesque and sicking to recommend to ANYONE! Extreme caution is advised if one wants to play this game anyway!

Starless Nymphomaniac’s Paradise is one of, if not the most disturbing games ever made. This is not the usual levels of messed up that hentai is known for. If you still think something like Rapelay is a legitimately disturbing game, stay far away from this game. If one is not the right type of audience for this game, it can cause deeply scarring psychological problems that will stick with you for a long time. It has been a year since I played this game and I still cannot get the images from it out of my head.

Also what I would like to disclose is that this is not the first time I reviewed this game. I have written a review of it a year ago shortly after I finished the game. The game had caused some very adverse effects on my mental state, which has resulted in a hastily written review that did not explain everything about the game that was needed to make my point, and I worded some things rather questionably. This time, I will try to view the game from a more observational standpoint at how well it achieves what it sets out to do.

Euphoria (PC): Beyond Horror, Beyond Hentai, Beyond Art (Detailed Review) (NSFW)

Trigger Warning: Rape, violence, emotional abuse and manipulation, and various other manner of disturbing or gruesome depictions. Euphoria itself is practically one big trigger in and of itself. This game should NOT be played by any except by the most desensitized and depraved of hentai fans. By playing this game, you risk seeing some seriously scarring material that could cause severe psychological damage, and should NOT be played by anyone under 18, and even if you are above that age, proceed with EXTREME CAUTION!

Euphoria was a game that almost leaves me at a literal loss for words. In a way, it may be one of, if not, the most impressive games I have ever played, and I can at least say that it is one of my favorites. At the same time, I don’t feel as though I can recommend it, at least not to most. The reason why my reviews are often so long winded is simply because I have used my writing as a way of communicating my feelings as thoroughly as possible. The point is to paint a clear picture of not only whatever I was reviewing was like on a surface level, but also on an emotional and spiritual level. My favorite works of art are always those that speak directly to the soul and that put artistic vision before everything else. Of course, they also need to be well made but that is pretty much a given.

Quick Review: Lapis Gunner (PC) (NSFW)

TW: More tentacle rape.

Due to the fact that this game has little in terms of SFW images, I have slightly blurred the screenshots of this game. If you want to see them unblurred, I’d suggest playing the game.

Lapis Gunner is the sequel to Ruby Striker, a short hentai game about a magical girl being tentacle raped by a demonic villain named Zodiac. There was really not all that much to Ruby Striker plot wise as it was purely pornographic material for those into tentacle rape based hentai. Most of the same things that were said about Ruby Striker can be said about Lapis Gunner, although the game overall felt like a step down.

The story of Lapis Gunner takes place after the events of Ruby Striker and focuses on the titular Lapis Gunner, one of Ruby Striker’s allies who came to rescue her. Unfortunately, she got captured by Zodiac as well and awaits a similar fate. From here on out, the game is pretty much the same as Ruby Striker in its structure.

Standard Review: Ruby Striker (PC) (NSFW)

TW: Super Tentacle Hentai Porn (that means tentacle rape, and lot’s of it).

Due to the fact that this game has little in terms of SFW images, I have heavily censored the screenshots of this game. If you want to see them uncensored, I’d suggest playing the game.

There are generally two types of hentai games; those that take themselves seriously and try to tell an interesting story, and those that just try to be masturbation fuel. Ruby Striker is an example of the latter, and it is a pretty good one at that. As I was reading it, I found myself continually aroused by it and appreciated its creativity and descriptiveness.

It should naturally go without saying that someone who is not into gratuitous tentacle rape should not be playing a game based entirely around it, but some stuff can get a bit on the freaky side and there is some stuff related to pain. As such, those into softer material may be better off elsewhere. Otherwise, the only real flaw is the game’s short length.

Critical Hit (PC): Doesn’t Look Like Yaoi to me (Detailed Review) (NSFW)

Critical Hit is a short eroge visual novel released in 2016 and it is the first game by developer Tsukiware. Despite the game’s short length and low budget, I found it to be quite enjoyable. I will admit that it does not live up to all of its potential, and that its short length and lack of choices make it hard to justify the $10.00 price tag, but I do feel that this game is worth playing for anyone who has a fondness for Dungeons and Dragons and for femboy hentai.

TW: The word “trap” being used to refer to femboys/mtf crossdressers, references to rape and sexual content because this is a hentai game.

School Idol QT Cool (PC): Crossdressing Eroge Done Wrong (Detailed Review) (NSFW)

This is the last Brash Games review of mine that has not been linked here yet. I am partially posting this one for context as I have a review of another femboy eroge in the making.

School Idol QT Cool Review

This game was… meh. I liked the concept of it, but it was so underutilized and was just used as a backdrop to get character A and character B to fuck. Yes, that may be porn in a nutshell, but no one ever pays for that shit these days. As such, if there’s going to be a price, it better either be VERY good porn or have something else to it, and this game has neither. Granted it is not a terrible game by any means and it will be satisfying if that’s what you are looking for, but it’s not going to impress anyone.

I will say that I’m glad I got the chance to review it though, as it’s a game that I got a small amount of enjoyment out of, but not nearly enough that I would consider it worth paying $15.00 for.

Also as an aside, I regret the use of the anti trans slur “trap” in the use of the original review, but I don’t think I can get that changed since I am no longer with the site.

Kindred Spirits on the Roof (PC): Yuritopia Greatness (Detailed Review)

The 2nd to last Brash Games review left to put up. I will say, getting the chance to play this game, in and of itself, made writing for Brash Games worth it for me, as I likely would not have touched it otherwise. It is also the second most detailed review of mine on the site next to NieR Automata.

Standard Review: Negligee (PC) (NSFW)

My second review posted on Brash Games. Is still my own copy though so was just there for “exposure.” Negligee was a yuri eroge that I found to be quite enjoyable and a surprising step up from previous AJTilley/Dharker Studios titles like Echo Tokyo: An Intro and Highschool Romance.
