Poem #133: Illusion of the Mind

Every step I take

Every breath I hold

Every land I conquer, every tale I’ve told.

Each heart I touch each height I climb, it’s all so much of a filthy lie.

Is all but the illusion of the mind.

Delusions of time put to the side.

Fusion of eyes, vision of the traumatized.

None take the words of the wise to heart.

The words that deny the truth of the broken parts.
