I’ve changed in many ways.
Yet in others, I’ve stayed the same.
For what it’s worth, these two long years felt decades apart.
Yet I’m still in the same place at the start.
How I cannot keep my mind off you for too long.
Our precious memories and our song.
The way, the passion, the feel.
Was our love ever truly real?
The pieces fell away, but that means they fit the fold.
This is why you are still on my mind,
and why you haunt my soul.
