Poem #4: My Decaying Mind

Note: This was originally posted on my Patreon account on May 30th of 2018 and written one month prior.

She was my angel

She was my everything

She meant more to me than anything

And only the cruelest of fate could take her away from me

I’d have given anything away and beared any pain

To be within her warm embrace and never ripped away

No words can explain the humiliation and shame of

An insane mind to lay wake alive and wish I had died that night

So much left unsaid

So much left undone

So many songs left unsung

And unwise words that that can’t be rescinded upon

Sinful cries and shameful eyes dead inside

My decaying mind

No truth nor lie nor depth nor height

Can truly convey this sorrow of mine
