There were some pretty exciting announcements made this week in terms of vocalizations, and I think a lot of people will agree with me on that one. But before that, we need to go over this week’s new releases. First we have Dark Rose Valkyrie on the PS4, our most recent Compile Heart/Idea Factory RPG. Secondly, we have ClaDun Returns: This is Sengoku! for PS4, Vita, and Steam by Nippon Icchi Software. Additionally, last week I forgot about Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo HD Edition for PS4. Anyway, let us begin.
Starting with Dragon Quest XI in tradition, we have new screenshots and information about characters and towns, and SIX new gameplay videos. Three for the PS4 version and 3 for the 3DS version. There was also 26 additional minutes of gameplay footage provided at the latest “Dragon Quest XI Countdown Carnival”
Omega Labyrinth Z opening movie revealed.I’m really hoping this gets localized both out of legit interest and for 2nd waver salt.
Compile Heart announces Tokyo Clanpool for Vita.
Genkai Tokki: Castle Panzers launchers September 28th in Japan.
Coven and Labyrinth of Refrain is getting a PS4 port that comes out in Japan September 28th.
Blue Reflection is being localized for the PS4 and PC (no Vita version) and will release September 26th (29th in Europe). I’ll give them credit for successfully baiting me with an all girl high school setting. That’s not me being perverted btw, it’s envy stemming from being deprived of social interaction with female peers my entire life…

Pokemon Gold and Silver are coming to 3DS virtual console September 22nd with Pokemon Bank support.
On the subject of Pokemon, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon have been announced for 3DS. They will launch world wide November 17th.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, action RPG by the developers of Odin Sphere, Muramasa, and Dragon’s Crown, has been announced for localization in North America and Europe.
Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth, Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux, and Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology are all being localized. Yes, Europe is getting them to so you guys can finally experience Radiant Historia and Strange Journey without importing.
Perfect Chronology’s battle system also gets a new trailer.
God Wars: Future Past gets its 2nd and 3rd character trailers.
We get some more details and screenshots of Trails of Cold Steel III characters.
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age gets a new story trailer.
Moero Chronicle is finally getting a localization in the form of a Steam port uncensored. I am personally glad to hear this, even though I already own the Asian English Vita version, because it may mean we could get PC versions of the later Genkai Tokki titles. Great since they stopped releasing English subtitled versions in Asia and that Idea Factory International is no longer localizing games that need censorship to get past the ESRB. And also cause 2nd waver salt.
Pre-orders are open for the physical deluxe edition of Rance VI+5D are now available.
We have some more information on the characters of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana.
The Lost Child has some more story information revealed.
And time to end things off with Rom Hacking news. Zelda II receives what is basically a 2nd Quest mod. Same mechanics, gameplay, graphics and sound, but design is completely changed up. World Map, battles, dungeons, everything (Except for maybe towns. They might be but I dunno). Also you can’t cheese the Dark Link fight anymore… have fun.
And a partial fan translation has been released for T-Dragon Quest, a Dragon Quest fan game for the X68000 Sharp.
.
So that is a total of seven western releases that were announced this week. So yeah, pretty good in terms of announcements. Anyway, here is the current release calendar.
