US 2018 Midterm Rundown: How Does Our Congress Stand on LGBT & Minority Rights? #PinkTsunami

US Flag Trans Colors

I talked before about how the “Blue Wave” on its own will not be enough for us. The results went fairly well with Democrats getting control of the House of Representatives for the first time since 2010. Unfortunately the Democrats did not gain nearly as many seats as the Republicans gained in 2010 but that is likely because more Democratic senate seats were up for election.

My plan here is to do a run down of all the elections of each state from a civil rights perspective. It may take some time because I am looking up most of these people for the first time. If anyone lives in any of these states and has anything to add in regards to their current representatives I would greatly appreciate the additional insight. This is largely meant to observe patterns so I may not touch on everything that’s important.

Before I begin I would like address a few things in advance that I know will be brought up if this piece gets any significant viewership. The first is that yes, there is a strong left wing bias in this piece. I have tried my best to be impartial by sticking strictly to civil rights issues but when one looks at the basic facts, the Republican party is far more often to blame for a lot of the most heinous shit when it comes to bigotry and cruelty. While the left has its fair share of shitheads, and I have done my best to call them all out and draw attention to them as well, It’s only naturally that my interests will be more closely aligned with the left when there is not only less bigoted shitheads, but also that the bigoted shitheads are less bigoted and less shit headed.

If you are a moderate Republican who is in favor of equal rights for LGBT people, women, and people of color then I would highly recommend reading through this entire 27,000+ word piece. I have heard more than one moderate claim that both parties are just as bad, but while I have plenty of criticisms towards the American left as of late, I just find that the right is just so much more hateful and ignorant than the left is. Even if the left only cares about lining their own pockets it does not change the fact that is it only logical to do what will help give us our rights. If you read this piece all the way through then you will likely have a much greater understanding of why LGBT activists hold so much more disdain towards the right.

Even if one does believe that one can merely “disagree” with LGBT rights (which as a heads up, you can’t expect to advocate for LGBT people being deprived of the same basic rights as everyone else and expect them to be okay with it), you will see that a large number of people who are still serving in the united states congress have some outright cruel and hateful views towards LGBT people that a lot of you may have thought died out.

I also ask that you show this piece to anyone who states that the Republican party isn’t homophobic. Hell even if you are a passionate leftist and LGBT rights supporter I think it would behoove you to read this entire piece because it allows you to see the scope of this anti LGBT prejudice, as well as a fair bit of stuff relating to women’s rights and rights for people of color. If you just want to know whose been a piece of shit in your state, I recommend you just skip to the section on your specific state than read the “conclusion” section. The states are covered in alphabetical order.

Lastly I recommend that you read this, and then remember to get out and vote these pricks out of office. This type of abhorrent ignorance and bigotry should have never been tolerated, and it’s up to us all to right this age old wrong that we as a society have allowed. Starting with…

On the Death of Leelah Alcorn (Trans Day Of Remembrance)

Do it for Her Leelah Alcorn

TW: Suicide, child abuse, transphobia, homophobia.

Leelah Alcorn is a name whose utterance fills me with sentimentality. For those unaware, Leelah Alcorn was a teenage trans girl from Ohio who killed herself in 2014 due to her parents refusal accept her when she came out as trans and attempts to send her to conversion therapy. She had her suicide note set to be published on social media hours after her death and it soon caught international attention from the mainstream media.

At the time that she died I had no idea who she was, but I wish I did. It deeply shames me to think that I was still a GamerGate supporter at the time she killed herself. I know the two aren’t related but I doubt that she’d have wanted anything to do with me if I approached her then, but if I were like how I was now I may have been able to save her… Read more

The Blue Wave Is Not Enough (But We Are!)

The past week has been absolutely devastating for me as an individual. As I am writing this my Twitter account is on lock down because of an aggressive remark I made to someone claiming that trans men don’t deserve financial support and have male privilege. It made me realize just how dependent I am on social media and on my existing audience. I’ve been anxious and on edge partly due to the news of Trump deciding to take a huge shit all over trans rights but also because of many personal issues. On top of that, Brazilian Hitler is now president in Brazil and I’m deeply worried for the safety of a close friend of mine.

Being trans is but one aspect of myself, and thus the setbacks that I face for being trans in a cis normative and heavily cissexist society are far from what I am limited to. I also suffer extreme drawbacks due to my many mental issues such as my agoraphobia, depression, social anxiety, complex PTSD, and likely from borderline personality disorder. I’ve thought deeply and heavily about what will happen if I ever need to turn to illegal activity just to live as my true self. Read more

AnnieGal Unscripted #5 “Waifu Holocaust” Steam Controversy

A new video of mine about Steam being dumb and banning lewd anime games.

The TLDW version is that gamers trivialize the issue by calling it the “waifu holocaust,” and downplay the sexist, homophobic, and xenophobic implications present.

AnnieGal Unscripted #1 Arielle Scarcella and Trans Lesbian Dating

Have decided to give video making another go, although content wise it’s just me rambling about politics for 50 minutes.

Response to Blaire White on Trans Kids: Should we Allow Gender Dysphoric Children to Undergo Hormone Therapy?

Blaire White | Trans kids

TW: References to transphobia, child abuse, and suicide.

I’m going to preface this article with something that a lot of my readers may not have guess if they don’t pay close attention to my Twitter feed; I like Blaire White. I hold a strong amount of respect and admiration for her In fact. I like the way how she just seems to never let anything get to her and that, unlike a lot of prominent trans activists, she doesn’t hold a one sided “Good Vs Evil” view of the world and its people.

That being said, I can’t stand most of her political beliefs and find them to often be ill informed and poorly backed up, and am frustrated that she is insistent that they are the indisputable truth and that there is no argument against them. Perhaps the worst example of this is her views of trans kids. Her views are that allowing trans children to transition is child abuse, and no that is not a strawman. This article is in response to all three of her videos on this subject, and possibly a few tweets. If she has had any additional words about the subject in a live stream or in an earlier video then I am not aware of them, just to provide context. Here are links to her three videos on this subject. Political Rant: No, Zinnia Jones Isn’t Saying to “Like Cock or You’re a Bigot.”

Zinnia "you suck."

Update: I have made some edits to the text to remove some of the more aggressive and pejorative remarks towards those who misinterpreted Zinnia’s tweets, at least up until a certain point. Misunderstanding things is to be expected and is something that everyone will do, and I do hope to clear some of that up with this article. However, there are some people who just actively WANT to be offended or are just close minded, and once someone reaches that point, I’m done being nice.

Trigger Warning: Transphobia, homophobia.

Zinnia "you suck."
Although it does look like she’s getting sucked off in this pic if her expression is following anime logic.

So, trans activist, Youtube user, and porn actress Zinnia Jones has been experiencing a recent flood of hate from AIWs (Antisocial Injustice Warriors, my personal term for the opposite of SJWs) over being told that maybe you shouldn’t base your entire decision on whether you date someone on whether or not you think being attracted to them makes you gay. Of course, most of them didn’t bother to read Zinnia’s entire tweet chain before Read more
