Poem #122: Prayer for the Soul

Note: This poem was originally posted on my Patreon account on November 20th of 2019. If you’d like to see these poems when they are first put up then please consider pledging to my patreon page.

My pain does not matter,

it is of no consequence,

nor of mindless chatter

dreaming of recompense

I hope you are well,

despite my grievous crimes

Though only time will tell

whether my care was lies

My demon is eternal

and so am I

my words are lethal

though you have survived.

There is little left to mourn as the clock ticks away, though from every wound torn is another will to sway. Terrible mental storms and cerebral collapse take the form of painful thorns and a daunting task. To brave the icy winds and the scorching flames of Hell, I fully embrace my sins…
I just hope that you are well.
