Poem #50: Closed Doors

Note: This poem was originally posted on my Patreon account on August 28th of 2018. I am currently posting a new poem to my patreon account each day for patron exclusive reading and on this blog one week later for public viewing. If you’d like to see these poems when they are first put up then please consider pledging to my patreon page.

The piercing sadness that once tortured me is now comforting.

To close the door to the past and to look to the future.

I sung my Requiem for the Soul but now march onward.

Though the heavens may mourn I will not.

To which end shall I reach next? To which the rest of my life awaits.

The way forward awaits, The choice has been made.

I choose to live.
