Note: This poem was originally posted on my Patreon account on August 16th of 2018. I am currently posting a new poem to my patreon account each day for patron exclusive reading and on this blog one week later for public viewing. Glass shards cut my eyes.
Devil’s dreams of the fateful lot.
The one that dares to memorize.
The painful memories most forgot.
The Journey of a thousand miles.
Cut short before the first step.
When every inch is over cut tiles.
Your bloody feet cry out in regret.
The skin torn from my limbs.
To look deep inside.
To find everything still within.
Though the pain will not subside.
What’s wrong with me I ask?
Why do I feel this way?
For nothing to speak back.
Mind dulled by the heavy haze.
