I haz bun nominunnayted

Well, it looks like I have been chosen for the Unique Blogger award. This appears to be something among bloggers similar to the “tagged” thing that I remember was on Youtube a while back. Well, since I always enjoy answering questions about myself I may as well do so. Anyway, thank you GamersGuild for the nomination, and also for the nice things he had to say about me. I also remember he was one of the first readers I had so thank you for that as well.

Anyway, the next part I am supposed to do is answer he these questions three.

Two paths lie ahead of you. One leads through a barren, lifeless desert. The other leads through a putrid swamp containing all manner of dangerous creatures. Which path do you go down?

I’d turn back.

here would you say you lie on the alignment chart? If you don’t know what that is, it’s a measure of where a person lies in regards to the law and morals.

Neutral good. I am highly compassionate and empathetic even to those who are “evil” and I am an anarchist, so I don’t have much support of government.

I suppose this question is somewhat related to the last one: Would you rather be the hero, or the villain of a story?

Hero. I cannot possibly bring myself to play the role of a villain even if it benefits me personally. I care too much about how others feel and think about me.

Anyway, it’s time for me to nominate other blogs.

Moegamer– Am unsure if it is still blog status considering that this seems to be a serious site now. If it is, then it’s pretty much a no brainer. Pete Davison is one of my primary inspirations for how I plan to handle Guardian Acorn. Unlike myself, Pete has actually written for some major publications in the past,  but got royally screwed because he had a legitimate respect for niche Japanese titles and wasn’t a reactionary Puritan twat and thus wasn’t allowed. I will admit that I am envious that he is able to make a profit off of his site, but he has been in the business longer so it is only natural.

TheHukosExperience – He hasn’t really posted anything in quite a while, but I have been in contact with him enough to know that he does plan to continue. He’s definitely someone I’d recommend checking out if you like the detailed and analytical approach to game critique, as he’s even more thorough than I am. One of the key differences is that he limits articles to games he has extensive history with, and he leaves no stone unturned. The only downside to this is that I need to force myself not to read posts on games I haven’t played yet (and I surprisingly have yet to play a number of classic games) since I want to go in blind.

YuriReviews – Exactly what it says on the box; reviews of Yuri related stuff. Naturally, I adore yuri given my sexuality, and the fact that she is also a Kindred Spirits on the Roof fangirl helps to.

Sermomancy – I actually just decided to read the first three chapters of this story for the purposes of this article. A friend of mine told me that he started writing this and I meant to take a look at it but never got around to it until now. I can definitely say that it leaves a lot for the reader to wonder about as they are reading. I may do a piece about my thoughts once I have caught up on it, as long as Arthur says it’s okay.

LatexathewitchAnother friend of mine whose blog I follow but have not gotten around to reading much of. I actually don’t spend much time reading other blogs but I do at points. I can tell that she is a very skilled write both from what I have read of her stuff and my interactions with her. I will admit though that the stuff I have read of hers is mainly the erotica (big surprise I know), and she is fucking amazing at it. I will need to take a look at her other stuff at some point in the near future as well.

100WordAnime – She has been one of my most active supporters on WordPress, as I notice that she likes most of my posts. As such, I really do appreciate her support (and the support of everyone else for that matter). Content wise, I like her anime episode impressions since they are both interesting to read AND don’t take too long either, unlike my stuff that takes an eternity and a half. Her standard anime reviews are good to and she is definitely a good writer.

Gender Analysis – Wouldn’t be complete without at least one activist blog. I’ve mentioned Zinnia Jones a fair bit of times and even had an article in her defense a while back. Of course, she’s not the only writer there as her two partners, Penny Robo and Heather McNamara are also frequent contributors; Zinnia is just the most well known of the three. As a public figure, Zinnia has been pretty polarizing and controversial, and I can partially see why when the specific focus is on her Twitter account. Her writing, on the other hand, is pretty much strictly scientific and research based, and this content is far more well researched and well cited then the vast majority of internet activists. If you are interested in reading about the scientific side of transgendity, Gender Analysis is a pretty good place to start with.

Drunkenanimeblog – Another anime review and a fairly recent fan of mine. I have liked her content and I am also very appreciative of her support, so her blog is a given. Not much else for me to say. Oh, I just realized that 5 of the 8 people I picked were women. That glass ceiling will be shattered in no time!

Okay now that I finished that stuff, time for my own questions three.

1: If you were trapped on a deserted remote island with no way off and no connection to civilization with one fictional character, who would they be and why?

2: If you can kill any person that you want without anyone knowing or finding out that you did it with the condition that one random person elsewhere in the world will also die that would have lived had you not pressed the button. Would you press it, and if so, who would you kill?

3: Which fictional character would you most want to be married to and why?

Hopefully those questions will provide some interesting responses. You should be proud of me for not going with something super low brow like “which anime chick would you most want to have sex with?” (you can still answer that one if you want to) or “what color pitchfork do you most want to stab Roy Moore with?” (the correct answer is “every color”). It took a lot of restraint on my part to not put those two questions into this article in ANY form, and I deserve a lot of praise for not exactly doing that.

I love irony.

If you would like to support me or this site, then please support my Patreon if you would like to see higher quality content with more resources to put towards it. If you don’t want to spend any money on me, then you can also help out by simply sharing my blog on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Reddit, or anywhere else where others will see it. You can also follow this blog if you would like to be kept up to date on my stuff, or you could follow me on any of my social media pages (listed at the bottom of the page) and could stop by The Guardian Acorn Discord chat if you would like to talk to me and my homies.

  1. Congrats and thanks for the nomination.
    1. If I had to be on a deserted island with only one fictional character it would have to be Sebastian from Black Butler under the assumption I was his master and he would handle everything.
    2. Nope, not pushing that button. I’m a firm live and let live person (or live and hope karma eventually catches up with them kind of person).
    3. And I’ve never really had any desire to marry a fictional character.

  2. Haha, really nice answers!

I was trying to be creative with what I asked but I wasn’t expecting you to cheat the system lol. You’ve got some great questions yourself as well!

  3. Congratulations and thank you so much! Kindred spirits is a fantastic VN. They keep teasing an anime adaptations, I hope this round of rumors pans out.
